Student visa requirements for Germany

In Germany, student visa and residence permit requirements depend on the student’s nationality. Some students can skip both, some only need a residence permit, while most require both a student visa and a residence permit. Typically, students must provide evidence of admission from their German university to obtain both a student visa and a residence permit.

The results of the language competence test are needed for securing a German student visa. You must present one of the following if your program is taught in German: – TestDaF, a KCSE certificate from KNEC
